Vancouver Whitecaps head coach Carl Robinson should be the most anxious about...
Meet The New Boss
The Vancouver Whitecaps finally filled that pesky head coaching vacancy on Monday by promoting from within. The new man in charge - former MLS veteran Carl Robinson - comes on the show to talk about landing the job, the hype surrounding the other candidates, how to get the most out of Darren Mattocks and if he's more anxious about coaching or walking his mother down the aisle at her wedding this week in Wales.
The guys also welcome on Seattle Times beat writer Joshua Mayers, who has the latest on what's already been a busy offseason for the Sounders. What's the deal with a trade for Kenny Cooper? Are Eddie Johnson's days all but done in Emerald City? Can Chad Marshall save the locker room? And what of the news that Clint Dempsey is headed back to Fulham this winter? All that and more as the Sounders look to rebuild before 2014.
There's also talk about Thierry Henry's days as a BBC broadcaster, the hype surrounding college syar Patrick Mullins, some big changes in the CONCACAF Champions League and two of the strangest email ideas in the history of the show. A Star Wars team in MLS? Who's the more foolish; the fool or the fool who follows him?
