Frankie Amaya certainly made the most out of his first career MLS goal.
FC Cincinnati’s 19-year-old midfielder netted the game-winner against Atlanta United and the long-distance screamer was also voted as the AT&T Goal of the Week for Round 2 of the MLS is Back Tournament.
Amaya’s 76th-minute golazo ran away with the award, garnering 46.5 percent of the fan vote.
Kacper Przybylko’s decisive tally to finish off a textbook counter-attack for the Philadelphia Union in a 2-1 win over Inter Miami CF and Mohamed El-Munir’s left-footed bullet that left David Bingham rooted in LAFC’s6-2 El Trafico rout of the LA Galaxy both garnered 16.6 percent of the vote.
Ayo Akinola’s hat trick goal for Toronto FC against the Montreal Impact (10.9%) and Jesus Medina’s venomous strike in NYCFC’s3-1 defeat to Orlando City SC (9.2%) followed.
