The Portland Timbers dropped their new 2019 primary kit on Tuesday, with a tonal hoop jersey design providing a deft riff on their traditional green and gold look.
Officially dubbed “Ponderosa Green and Green Night hoops,” the alternating green horizontal stripes across the front are accented by jersey sponsor Alaska Airlines and other “Native Gold” and white trim and details, along with solid green shorts and socks.
Many Rose City supporters will appreciate the kit’s subtle details, like a Stand Together crossed-axe logo on the back top of the shirt and a line from the iconic Timbers Army “Party in Portland” chant on the inside neck tape, reading “We’ll Sing For You Timbers – ‘Til You Finish The Fight.”
