Greg Garza can't catch a break from the injury bug this year. In just his second start for FC Cincinnati since a five-game layoff, the US international left back came up with what appeared to be a non-contact injury within the first 10 minutes of their contest at Orlando City SC:
It's been a tough year for Garza, who missed a large chunk of the regular season for Atlanta United last season with a shoulder injury before returning as a starter in their run to the MLS Cup title. He was traded to FC Cincinnati in the offseason, but suffered a quad injury that caused him to withdraw from US national team camp and set back his preseason preparations with his new club. He did end up featuring in five games (three starts) for FCC before a calf injury held him out for most of April and first half of May.
Be sure to check back on this post later on Sunday for more updates on Garza's injury.
