Tata Martino's roster is out for Mexico's pair of upcoming international friendlies, with the former Atlanta United boss including three MLS players among the 31-man group he's assembled for the matches.
LA Galaxy midfielders Jonathan dos Santos and Uriel Antuna will be reporting for duty, with the duo being joined by Philadelphia Union midfielder Marco Fabian. Martino's men will be taking on the United States in an always highly-anticipated matchup on Sept. 6 at MetLife Stadium before a clash with Argentina at the Alamodome on Sept. 10.
Dos Santos gets the call amid a standout campaign in which he's further solidified himself as an invaluable, tempo-controlling presence in the Galaxy midfield. The 29-year-old has racked up 45 caps for Mexico since making his 2009 international debut, scoring three goals.
Antuna, 22, has started 23 of his 24 games for the Galaxy this season after joining the club on loan from Manchester City, pocketing two goals and two assists in 1,870 minutes. He has four goals in his six career senior caps, mostly fueled by a hat-trick he logged in a 7-0 romp over Cuba at the 2019 Gold Cup.
Fabian, 30, is a known commodity for El Tri fans, with nine goals in 42 caps since 2012. The midfielder has started 13 games for the Union this season, logging six goals and an assist in 1,043 minutes for a much-improved Philadelphia squad.
