The LA Galaxy have acquired midfielder Pablo Ruiz from Real Salt Lake, the clubs announced Thursday.Â
In exchange for the 27-year-old former Argentina youth international, RSL receive $400,000 in 2027 General Allocation Money (GAM).Â
"Pablo is an experienced and intelligent midfielder who will greatly add to the quality and mentality of the group," said LA general manager Will Kuntz. "We are proud to welcome Pablo and his family to the LA Galaxy."
Ruiz contributed 9g/19a in 162 appearances since joining RSL from Chilean side San Luis de Quillota in February 2018. He missed most of the 2024 season with a left ACL tear, his second knee injury in as many years.Â
Internationally, Ruiz represented Argentina at the 2015 FIFA U-17 World Cup.

"He has been a consummate professional on and off the field, as both a young player arriving in North America and as a mentor to many throughout our community. We wish him and his family the best of luck in all future endeavors."
