NEW YORK (Monday, June 24, 2024) – Midway through the 2024 season, Major League Soccer is setting numerous attendance records across the league. MLS has established new records for total attendance and average attendance. Attendance highlights as of June 22, 2024, include:
- 6.5M: Nearly 6.5 million fans have attended MLS matches already this season, 725,000 more fans than the same time in 2023
- 60,000+: Five matches have featured an attendance of 60,000 or higher in 2024, the most through this date in league history
- 50,000+: Six matches have totaled more than 50,000 fans in 2024, the most through this date in league history
- 40,000+: 15 matches have featured at least 40,000 fans in attendance, the most through this date in league history
- 13%: Total MLS attendance is up 13% compared to the same date in 2023
- 25: In 2024, 25 of 29 MLS clubs are up or even in average attendance vs. the same date in 2023
