Major League Soccer is marking Earth Day 2018 with a variety of initiatives and celebrations, including MLS WORKS' third annual Greener Goals Week of Service, but the most prominent one will be worn on the pitch this weekend.
MLS has collaborated with adidas and Parley to support Parley for the Oceans. During Week 8 matches, MLS players will wear special adidas kits, built of technical yarns made using Parley Ocean Plasticâ„¢. The gear will be supported by all 23 clubs and comes in two colorways, non-dye and carbon, differentiating the two teams in each game.
The jerseys are available for fans to purchase at MLSstore.com, adidas.com and in select in-stadium retailers, and you can catch a glimpse of your favorite team's look below.
And don't forget: We're encouraging fans to share photos/videos of their green initiatives on Twitter. We'll randomly select one participant for a special prize: An adidas Parley jersey of his/her choice. Just tweet a photo or video that shows how you're spending time on green initiatives ahead of Earth Day and include #GreenerGoals AND #Sweepstakes in your tweet.
