Major League Soccer today announced sanctions against Los Angeles Football Club following serious misconduct by the LAFC fan supporter group 3252 prior to the Audi MLS Cup Playoff match against Houston on December 2.
In coordination with MLS, LAFC agrees to conduct a full investigation of the incident and violators will be subject to further penalties, indefinite bans (including MLS Cup) and all appropriate legal action. The comprehensive review will focus on improving security and supporter management processes for 2024 and beyond.
For failing to meet required safety protocols, LAFC has been fined $100,000 and will be subject to League oversight related to security and supporter management processes. For the 2024 season, 3252 will have all supporter privileges indefinitely suspended pending the completion of MLS and LAFC’s comprehensive review. Supporter privileges for 3252 attending MLS Cup this Saturday will be restricted.
