The New England Revolution will wrap up their training camp in Marbella, Spain as part of Preseason presented by Advocare, with a final match, against Ukrainian side Dynamo Kyiv.
New England Revolution
The Revs have been taking on European opposition during the Spanish portion of their preseason prep, posting a draw and two losses in the previous three games.
Head coach Brad Friedel is pleased with the progress made and the quality of the experience on the trip across the pond.
“I’m just going to reiterate how good the competition is here,” said Friedel to the Revolution website. “I’ve got to say, I’m really pleased with this being only our third game of preseason, where we’re at with fitness, where we’re at with competing against some of Europe’s best. Overall, the trip has gone really well so far.
“The area is great and the competition is really second to none. It’d be difficult to find anywhere in the world where we’d get better competition to play.”
FC Dynamo Kyiv
The Ukrainian Premier League powers are gearing up for the Europa League Round of 32 clash against Greek outfit Olimpiacos later this month, looking to get a good runout against New England.
Dynamo currently sit in second place in the UPL, behind Shakhtar Donetsk, and have some work to do to make up ground, as they are seven points back.
One recent MLS connection to Dynamo is with LAFC defender Danilo Silva, who spent seven years in Kyiv, winning two league titles and two domestic cups in his time in Ukraine.
