The MLS Disciplinary Committee has fined Orlando City SC goalkeeper Pedro Gallese an undisclosed amount for his failure to leave the field in a timely manner after receiving a red card during penalties in Orlando’s match against New York City FC on Nov. 21.
Gallese was shown a second yellow card during the shootout after failing to have at least one foot on the line during an attempt by NYCFC's Valentin Castellanos. Gallese's dismissal meant defender Rodrigo Schlegel went in goal for the remainder of the shootout, which was won by Orlando in dramatic fashion following a save from Schlegel and decisive conversion from Benji Michel.
