SAN DIEGO (Thursday, May 18, 2023) – Media assets are available from MLS Commissioner Don Garber’s awarding of San Diego as Major League Soccer’s 30th member club on Thursday. Commissioner Garber was joined at Snapdragon Stadium by principal owners Mohamed Mansour and Chairman Cody Martinez.
Additionally, FIFA Vice President and Concacaf President Victor Montagliani, club CEO Tom Penn, Right to Dream founder Tom Vernon, club investor and San Diego Padres third baseman Manny Machado, City of San Diego Mayor Todd Gloria, and San Diego State University President Dr. Adela de la Torre were also in attendance for the announcement.
