Homegrown Player signing Thomas Roberts scored his first preseason goal for his club’s first-team quad, and FC Dallas defeated the Seattle Sounders 2-1 on Saturday in the 2019 MLS Preseason presented by Advocare.
The near-post strike by Roberts, just moments after the 17-year-old entered as one of numerous late substitutions from both sides, eventually held up as the winner.
Dominique Badji also scored on a feed from Michael Barrios early for FC Dallas, which will play two more matches in the Mobile Mini Sun Cup in Tucson, Ariz.
Nouhou snatched back a late goal for the Sounders, who concluded the Arizona portion of their preseason. Seattle is scheduled to face Uruguayan side Nacional at home in a friendly next week before visiting the San Jose earthquakes next Saturday in their final preseason tuneup.
