On Wednesday, the Seattle Sounders revealed some fab new photos of their two new jerseys for 2016--the Rave Green and Pacific Blue kits. (Click here to check out that earlier news, including a cool behind-the-scenes, making-of video.)
The new jerseys are available to buy, officially, today--so let's take a closer look at the fine details. We'll start with the Rave Green kit, the team's updated primary one. Here's the front and back:
The new primary jersey boasts a one-of-a-kind, custom-engineered fabric specifically for the Sounders. Inspired by Mt. Rainier, the interlocking “S” design for Seattle Sounders is woven into the fabric:
The “Sky of Blue, Sea of Green” chant can be found on the neck tape:
The jock tag features the Seattle crest.
Now let's take a look at the new Pacific Blue third kit. Here are the front and back:
The color is inspired by the Puget Sound, which helped give the Sounders their name. Here's a look at how the team crest looks on the jersey in the various blues:
