TRANSFER TRACKER: Roster Update
Less than 24 hours removed from a tough playoff loss, Sporting Kansas City announced their initial offseason roster moves on Friday afternoon.
The club has exercised contract options for forward Diego Rubio, defender Graham Smith and goalkeepers Eric Dick and Adrian Zendejas, while extending an offer to forward Khiry Shelton, who is out of contract at the end of the year.
SKC declined contract options for Kharlton Belmar, Cristian Lobato, Amer Didic, Brad Evans and Colton Storm.
Rubio, 25, scored twice for Kansas City in the Audi 2018 MLS Cup Playoffs. The Chilean added eight goals and six assists in 20 regular season appearances this year.
The team now has 23 players under contract for 2019.
