The US national team’s Copa America Centenario semifinal against Argentina in Houston has sold-out, according to tournament organizers.
The Copa organizing committee announced on Monday night that there are no tickets remaining for Tuesday’s match at NRG Stadium, which has a seating capacity of 72,200. The game will kick off at 9 pm ET and will be broadcast live on FS1, Univision and UDN.
The US have drawn their last two matches against Argentina, playing to a scoreless tie at the old Giants Stadium in 2008 and tying 1-1 at MetLife Stadium in 2011. The Americans won Group A and defeated Ecuador in the quarterfinals to reach the semifinals, while Argentina – the No. 1 ranked team in the world – have won all four of their matches at the Copa.
The winner of Tuesday’s match will move on to face the winner of Wednesday’s semifinal between Colombia and Chile in Sunday’s Copa America Centenario final at MetLife Stadium. The losers will meet in the third-place match on Saturday at the University of Phoenix Stadium.
