Was Sebastian Giovinco's goal against the New York Red Bulls a career best? See what he thinks

Toronto FC striker Sebastian Giovinco has taken MLS by storm in his first year, scoring 22 goals and assisting on 15 others.

The high point of his season might have come on Wednesday night when he scored a spectacular game-winning goal against the New York Red Bulls to help secure Toronto's first berth in the Audi MLS Cup Playoffs.

But was it the best goal of his career?

In an interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport, the superstar came close to admitting it, given the playoff implications involved.

"That’s tough to say, it depends on the situation. I’ve seen it on TV and I must say it was really nice, but that’s because it was important," said Giovinco. "The club are going to the playoffs, which means it’s not just another goal."

He also explained his goal celebration after that crazy run through the Red Bulls defense:

“It’s called ‘Stirring the Pot’. The Toronto Blue Jays do it in Major League Baseball when they get some runs. I wanted to imitate them. And plus, a few minutes before I came on they came back and reached their first American League Championship Series since 1993 which caused the stadium to go wild. It was the first thing that came to mind when I had to celebrate.
