The US national team face Paraguay Saturday in Philadelphia (7 pm ET; FS1/Univision/UDN) in a game in which they must get a result.
Looking back at the history of their performances against Paraguay and in Philadelphia, you're left with mixed feelings.
USA's history against Paraguay isn't exactly long, as just six games have been played between the two nations. And neither country has the upper hand in the series. The teams have split the six games they've played, with each winning twice and there being two draws. Paraguay won the most recent matchup, in March 2011, a 1-0 decision at LP Field in Nashville. But only six players who featured in that game could take the field on Saturday.

The US' history in Philadelphia is equally mixed, but a recent result looms particularly large. Last summer, Jurgen Klinsmann's lost the Gold Cup third place match at Talen Energy Stadium against Panama. The other competitive match that has been played by the US in Philadelphia came during the 2009 Gold Cup, when they beat Panama in the quarterfinals thanks to a goal in the 106th minute by Kenny Cooper.
USA have played two other games at Lincoln Financial Field, where Saturday's match will take place, and even one at Temple Stadium. Jurgen Klinsmann's first game in charge was at the Linc, a 1-1 draw against Mexico.
