2025: MLS (CF Montreal) : Made 6 appearances and 2 starts … later joined Charlotte FC on loan, making 24 appearances and 19 starts… logging 1,797 minutes played… recording 2 assists. US Open Cup: Made two appearances… recording two assists… logging 240 minutes played. Leagues Cup: Made three appearances… logging 251 minutes played.

2024: MLS (CF Montreal) : Made 9 appearances and 7 starts… logging 1 assist… then transferred to Toronto where he made 22 appearances with 10 starts… logging 1,027 minutes played… recording 1 goal and 3 assists…first MLS goal made on March 16 against NYCFC.

2023: MLS (Toronto FC): Made 22 appearances and 11 starts… recording one goal and four assists… logging 1,029 minutes played. (CF Montreal): Made 9 appearances…logging 651 minutes played. Leagues Cup (Toronto FC): Made two appearances… recording one assist.

2022: MLS (Toronto FC): Made 17 appearances with 5 starts… logging 613 minutes.

2021: MLS (Toronto FC): Made 11 appearances with 4 starts… logging 421 minutes played… recorded first MLS assist on April 17 against CF Montréal.

2020: MLS: Made professional debut on October 24 vs Philadelphia Union… became the youngest player in club history to appear in a match at the time. 

Prior to New York

Marshall-Rutty made 73 MLS appearances with Toronto FC after signing as a Homegrown Player, becoming the youngest signing in club history. He added 15 league appearances with CF Montréal (2024) and 29 appearances with four assists on loan at Charlotte FC in 2025. He also logged 13 appearances (2 goals) with Toronto FC II.

International Experience

Marshall-Rutty has represented Canada at the youth and senior levels. He made five appearances and scored once with the U-15s, later becoming the youngest player ever called into a senior national team camp (January 2021). He made his senior debut in 2026 and has also featured for Canada’s B Team.

Academy Experience

Marshall-Rutty began his youth career with Brampton East SC before joining Rush Canada Academy. In 2016, he entered the Toronto FC Academy, where he progressed through the U-13, U-15, U-16/17, and U-18/19 levels before signing his first professional contract with Toronto FC II in 2018. 

Acquired

Red Bull New York acquired Jahkeele Marshall-Rutty from CF Montréal in exchange for midfielder Wiki Carmona. Montréal retained a portion of Marshall-Rutty's salary for the 2026 season, while New York retained a percentage of future sell-on rights for Carmona. The transaction was completed on February 9, 2026.
