Career Summary

Out of contract following 2016 season.

A member of the first MLS free agent class, the 2013 league MVP returns to LA after time in his hometown of Chicago. Magee has made almost 300 regular season appearances, and has scored 66 goals during that time. On the opening weekend of the 2016 season, he became just the third player to score two goals, notch an assist and win a penalty in the same game during the Opta-MLS era. Magee is also known as a clutch playoff performer, with three goals in both of the Galaxy's triumphant MLS cup runs in 2011 and 2012.

INTERNATIONAL: Magee began his National Team career in the Fall of 2000 during a two-year stay at the U.S. Under-17 residency camp in Bradenton, Fla. before being drafted by the MetroStars. He has also represented the U.S. U-18, U-20 and U-23 National Teams. He played for the U.S. at the 2001 Under-17 World Cup in Trinidad and Tobago. In 2003, he represented the U.S. at the Under-20 World Cup in the United Arab Emirates. In late 2004 he was called into senior National Team camp for the first time. He was also called to participate in the 2014 edition of the annual January camp.
