Inter Miami CF have qualified for the Audi 2026 MLS Cup Playoffs, clinching their spot following a 2-0 win vs. New York City FC on Wednesday night.
With five regular-season matches left, the reigning MLS Cup presented by Audi champions are second in the Eastern Conference standings (52 points; 14W-5L-10D).
After lifting MLS Cup in 2025, Miami have their sights set on becoming the first back-to-back winners since the 2011-12 LA Galaxy.
The Herons have already won a trophy this year, beating LIGA MX powerhouse Cruz Azul for the Michelob ULTRA Campeones Cup in mid-September.

Lionel Messi is on pace to win a third straight Landon Donovan MLS MVP award, boasting a league-best 37 goal contributions (23g/14a). The Argentine icon is also targeting a second straight Golden Boot presented by Audi title.
Luis Suárez is Miami's second-leading scorer with 15g/10a, while Mexican international Germán Berterame has chipped in 8g/8a.
Meanwhile, Argentine international and 2022 FIFA World Cup champion Rodrigo De Paul anchors the midfield and has added 14 assists. Brazilian legend Casemiro, who joined this summer, adds further quality and experience.

Audi 2026 MLS Cup Playoffs
MLS Cup presented by Audi will be played Dec. 18, while the playoffs begin Nov. 18 with Wild Card matches.
- Seeds 1-7 in each conference qualify for the Round One Best-of-3 Series.
- Seeds 8-9 in each conference qualify for the Wild Card matches.
- Seeds 10-15 in each conference do not qualify for the postseason.
