Yet to score a goal in their season restart, FC Dallas will look to break out against a Minnesota United squad that is winless in their last three when the Western Conference foes square off Saturday night at Toyota Stadium.

FC Dallas are coming off a second consecutive goalless draw, playing the Houston Dynamo to a stalemate in the Texas Derby, while the Loons suffered a 2-1 defeat to Sporting KC.

FC Dallas are a perfect 3W-0L-0T against Minnesota United in Frisco, including a wild 5-3 win last August with Brandon Servania scoring a late brace to provide the difference.

FC Dallas were scheduled to play the Colorado Rapids Wednesday night at Toyota Stadium, but players from both teams joined a coordinated effort from players across the league to sit out the match, following the NBA's Milwaukee Bucks, who didn't report to the court for their scheduled playoff game against the Orlando Magic that afternoon, as players continue to support the Black Lives Matter movement and protests against the police shooting of Jacob Blake in Kenosha, Wisconsin.

"We did a meeting as a team, as a club, with the players, the staff and the ownership and it was done in different languages, but we all listened, we learned, and we all showed togetherness," Luchi Gonzalez said. "I'm just proud, proud of the process and that we supported this message."

It appears the long-anticipated Reggie Cannon transfer is happening with MLSsoccer.com's Tom Bogert reporting a deal has been struck with Portuguese club Boavista FC, although it has yet to be finalized.

Minnesota United

The Loons are looking to rebound from a 2-1 loss to Sporting KC in a top-of-the-table clash at Allianz Field last Friday night. A Michael Boxall own goal in the 55th minute was what separated the sides in the Loons 2020 home opener.

"I thought we paid them too much respect at the beginning of the game and allowed them to get some confidence in the fact that they’re playing away from home," Adrian Heath said. "We knew it was going to be tight. I don’t think there was really anything in the game. But, when I look at the amount of balls we put in the box and to know we put in the box and to not really make [Tim] Melia make a big time save was a bit disappointing."
